Neighborhood Spotlight: Paulding County

If you’ve been a lifelong resident living in DeKalb County or Fulton County, you probably don’t think of Paulding County as part of the Metro Atlanta area, even though nearby Cobb County has officially been part of the “in crowd” for years.

These days, however, Paulding County, which was once mostly devoted to agriculture (think livestock, poultry, corn, pecans, and oats) over business has started taking a more industrial path. This has led to not only substantial growth in business for the area, but attracted more residents to the county as well.

In fact, 60 percent of its residents are made up of families who have relocated to the area from other places. And really, who can blame them? With the county’s small-town charm and thriving business community, Paulding County has something for everyone, all while still providing easy access to the rest of the Metro Atlanta area.
